Custom Shelving
1. Custom Shelving to fit a deep recess next to a fireplace. it was made from heavy duty construction timber planks joined to together to provide the depth, sanded and stained then varnished to provide the deep colour in-keeping with the property. I designed the top shelf to be split level just to create some uniqueness and interest. the client loved the design.

Custom Shelving
a custom shelf designed to replace Ikea square shelving, initial role was to paint the room, as it occupant was no longer a boy but a mature teenager. the shelves were built to fit the possessions / books/ trophy's that were to be displayed so the shelf heights vary to fit. also the bottom shelf is deeper to account for A4 files etc. Top 2 shelves run length of the wall and the space underneath them on the right hand side is for a large mirror. too keep material costs down the system was made from 18mm marine ply, cut, sanded, joined and stained, the offset of the shelf struts was to enhance the feel of hand made and move away from the uniformity of Ikea style products.

Shoe & Coat rack
Client moved into a brand new house, I built a separating wall in the garage to enclose the Washing/drying area, providing shelving and encompassing pre-existing storage. painted and racked out the remaining space also fitting carpet tyles to make the space more useable/accessible. I built 4 Ikea prepacked double and triple wardrobes, fitted blinds and made custom shelves to fit inside storage cupboards. one of the desires from my client was to help create an organised space which visitors first enter as the brand new build whilst finished to a high degree was a little sterile and without storage. So for this space we decide to create a custom system to help organise the family's shoes, coats and bags. the spaces above the coat hooks were made for wicker baskets to fit for dog leads, gloves and hats. shoe shelves were made of different heights to fit the family's footwear. painted to offer a colour variation with the Wooden top stained to match internal doors

Utility 2.jpg
The space is within a converted granary barn, with flagstone floor and effectively a wide corridor linking the hall area and the attached garage. Originally it held a washing machine and a selection of old kitchen cabinets with a formica top and stainless sink. the desire was to make the space more in-keeping with the rest of the house. so stripped out the old stuff. built a cupboards to house cleaning products, mop, vacuum, broom etc and then a large pantry space for storage of not often used kitchen utensiles and shelving for dry goods, with top cupboards handy for further storage. then repositioned the washing machine, changing the plumbing pipes, added more sockets, fitted a tumble dryer and built an open support stand for a Belfast sink with a hand made pull out drawer underneath, open shelves for washing baskets, a narrow space for racks and an open space for a laundry basket. all connected with a handmade Pine worktop, stained and then yacht varnished

Desk refurb
Desk was bought from a Charity store. It was a very well made desk, all wooden drawers and very well constructed joints. it was scratched and worn on the top and desk fronts and was its original 'Orange hued' pine, so well made, good materials but ugly. desk was taken apart, sanded down, stained a dark oak colour as requested by the client. I also replaced the drawer knobs to something more in keeping with the rest of the room.

Farmhouse Table - Custom sizes available.
This table was built to order it's made from construction grade pine, with simple but very strong joints. Table shown is 7 feet long by 3.5 feet wide and sits 8 comfortably. Client had 5 farmhouse style chairs, that had been owned by a cherished grandparent. So we also made a bench seating 3 to sit along one side. The table and bench were stained to match the patina of the vintage chairs
